Claremont Mudd Scripps Tennis Team Back to Search

The CMS Club Tennis program was founded in 2011 by a handful of students with the strong backing of Paul Settles, the CMS Men's Tennis coach. 2011-2012 is the team's first full year and they are already seeing incredible growth. The team has attracted both serious players interested in competing in USTA Tennis on Campus tournaments as well as casual players who are simply looking for a fun and social activity. The club aims to provide a platform for tennis players of all levels to find playing partners, improve their skills, compete, and simply enjoy themselves. After assembling a team on short notice for the 2011 Southern California Sectionals CMS put in a strong performance, earning 2nd place in their pool and advancing to the semifinals of the silver draw. The team hopes to continue to grow as both a recreational and competitive group and will look to put in another strong performance at the Southern California Sectionals this year.2010/2011: Silver Draw Semifinals 2010/2011: 2nd Place Pool E- Hosted campus-wide tournament
